Founded in Brooklyn, In Common With is a contemporary design studio that celebrates collaboration, materials, and craftsmanship.
Nick Ozemba and Felicia Hung met in college on the first day of their freshman year at the Rhode Island School of Design. Since then, they launched the design house In Common With and have remained close to their New York City roots. The studio's mission is to create lighting and objects where functionality meets emotion. Their approach is resolutely human-centered: working "in common"—that is, in common—with artisans, glassmakers, and ceramicists, to create unique and timeless pieces.
Rooted in an aesthetic that is both understated and sophisticated, In Common With explores textures, natural materials, and light as a means of expression. Each collection is conceived as a dialogue between designers, producers, and end users, resulting in objects that tell a story and invite contemplation.
From its first models to its prestigious collaborations, the studio has established a harmonious and sensitive signature, where minimalism combines with the poetry of materials.
