Constellation, imagined by the visionary American architect and designer David Rockwell, draws its inspiration from the celestial expanse above New York City’s skyline. The night sky, an ever-changing canvas of stars, weaves its way into the design of this collection. The majestic Grand Central Terminal, with its sweeping celestial ceiling, serves as the perfect muse for this luminescent journey, transforming the mundane into an ethereal experience.
The Constellation collection includes a ceiling light, a wall sconce, and a floor lamp, each a tribute to the stars—Cassiopeia, Orion's Belt, and Polaris. Delicate handcrafted metal threads bind each piece, creating a visual harmony that evokes the sensation of gazing at a starlit sky. Modular in design, each light can be configured to suit its space, becoming not just a fixture, but the very heart of a room.
Lasvit is a Czech design and glassmaking company founded in 2007 by Leon Jakimič, a native of Liberec in Northern Bohemia—a region with a rich, centuries-old glassmaking tradition. Coming from a family with six generations of glassmakers, Jakimič studied economics at Loyola Marymount University in California and later earned an MBA in Hong Kong. His vision was clear: to merge the historical craftsmanship of Bohemian glass with bold, contemporary design.
The name Lasvit combines the Czech words “láska” (love) and “svit” (light), encapsulating the brand’s mission to bring love and light into every creation.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.
The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
