Description
The Sand & Sea Cascading Wave Chandelier is a luminous ode to the fluid, mesmerizing beauty of coastal landscapes. Inspired by the perpetual motion of waves caressing the shore, this sculptural pendant light captures the very essence of ocean and sand in a graceful dance of light and form.
Composed of hand-blown glass or translucent materials, each element is suspended at varying heights, creating a cascading silhouette reminiscent of sea swells or wind-shaped dunes. Soft tones—from sandy beige to deep ocean blue—gently blend into one another, offering a delicate play of transparency and ever-changing reflections throughout the day.
Haberdashery is a London-based design studio founded in 2008 by Ben Rigby, Daniel Siden, and Mac Cox, each with backgrounds in film and industrial design. United by a shared passion for light, storytelling, and spatial experiences, they came together to create sculptural lighting pieces that transcend mere functionality.
The studio has become renowned for its poetic and immersive light installations that blur the boundaries between art, design, and architecture. Each creation reflects a deep understanding of materiality, emotion, and the transformative power of light, turning everyday spaces into extraordinary environments. Through their multidisciplinary approach, Haberdashery crafts luminous experiences that resonate with beauty, innovation, and a quiet sense of wonder.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
