Discover the Beachwood Love Seat designed by the young Swedish-Mexican founder and creative director of ATRA: Alexander Díaz Andersson. His aesthetic comfortably straddles the line between art and functionality, a philosophy that is reflected in the various interior design projects he has authored.
This state of the art and contemporary armchair will ideally complete an indoor or outdoor space design. The singular swedish lines combined with the relaxed form and light steel frame is allied with generous fabric or leather cushions for a comfortable and laid-back experience.
14 years ago designer Alexander Díaz Andersson moved from Sweden to Mexico, thinking it would be a temporary residence. However the designer is now well installed in Mexico and is now the founder and creative director of the furniture studio ATRA based in Mexico City.
Through the years, the designer has become Mexico's emergence on the global design scene as his work combines the typical minimalism of Swedish design with Mexican aesthetic.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.
The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
