The Beluga Curviligne Sofa in taupe is a sculptural statement piece by artist and designer Alexander Díaz Andersson, where fluidity of form meets the serenity of minimalist design. Inspired by the graceful silhouette of the beluga whale, the sofa echoes the smooth, undulating curves of oceanic motion—soft, continuous, and deeply calming.
Its organic shape flows seamlessly, creating a harmonious visual rhythm. The gently arched backrest merges effortlessly with the generous seat, inviting both comfort and contemplation. Wrapped in a subtle taupe fabric, the sofa emanates warmth and sophistication, easily integrating into a variety of interiors, from contemporary to timeless.
About of Alexander Díaz Andersson
Originally from Sweden, the designer has decided to drop his suitcase in Mexico and is now the Founder and Design director of ATRA Studio. Alexander Díaz Andersson, through his experiments and collaborations, is now part of the global scene of mexican design.
The designer's core focus is working with sustainable materials, through robotic and manual processes, hand in hand with local artisans, to create a positive social impact in Mexico.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.
The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
