Description
"A horizon line carved from earth".
The GRUN’ Bench continues the organic language of Victoria Yakusha’s signature collection. At once raw and gentle, it evokes a strip of land shaped by wind and time, a grounded seat resting on the edge between furniture and sculpture.
With its monolithic form, primitive curves, and mineral texture, GRUN’ feels as though it was born from the earth itself. Its pared-back, almost archaic design invites quiet contemplation and a pause from the noise of modern life.
More than just a bench, it is a functional sculpture, a stable and calming presence that honors both material and soul, and reflects the essence of living design.
About Victoria Yakusha :
Victoria Yakusha is an architect, designer, and artist born in 1982 in Dnipro, Ukraine. She is the originator of the concept of "living design," a creative philosophy deeply rooted in the earth, nature, and Ukrainian cultural traditions.
In 2007, she graduated from the Prydniprovska State Academy of Architecture and furthered her studies in France at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA). That same year, she founded her own architecture studio.
Following the 2014 Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine, she redefined her role as a creator and launched the brand FAINA. This label embodies authentic, emotive design inspired by Ukrainian heritage, through furniture, lighting, and decorative objects.
Since 2022, Victoria Yakusha has also been working as an independent designer, collaborating with various brands while continuing to create limited edition pieces. Her work stands out for its minimalist, organic language, its deep cultural resonance, and its sculptural, architecture-inspired approach.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
