Discover this handbuilt terracotta ceramic wall light made of clay collected from the potter’s surroundings. it is then fired in a pit oven. This lighting is co-created with the potter Houda.
The ceramic is mounted on a hook attached to the wall. Variation is to be expected, each piece differs in color, size, shape and decorations due to its handmade nature. memòri is about simplicity, imperfections, and embracing the "flaws".
Handcrafted in Rif mountains, Morocco - by Houda and Naïma.

Houda and Naïma's vocation is to rekindle the culture of Moroccan know-how through the art of weaving, applying natural dyes, making pottery from local clay mainly in the Rif Region. The virtuosity of the craftsmen charms our senses with the beauty and originality of the objects made. The production is made in very limited quantities. Each product is unique.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
