Description
The central idea of the Square in Circle creations is the result of an alliance between contemporary design and geometric shapes. We find this logic in this wall lamp from which three geometric shapes emerge: a quadrant circle, a glass globe and a rectangle. The quadrant circle and the frosted glass globe are fixed to a rectangular back plate that completes the structure of the suspension. The lamp diffusing a halo of light, is made of medium bronze, with a brushed brass finish and opaque glass.
Birth of Square in Circle in 2019 in London by Alexia Sirokina. These creations are in the spirit of Gesamtkunstwerk which literally means total work of art.
The total work of art is a sumptuous aesthetic journey, a complete artistic creation that through prodigious efforts, embraces the visual, experience and performance in all types of art including painting, music, architecture, literature, interior design, furniture, silverware as well as landscape.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.
The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
