Ceramicah, nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, was born from the collaborative efforts of life partners Micah Blyckert and Alexandra Cadiz. Blyckert, a lifelong ceramicist, infuses the studio's creations with his exquisite craftsmanship and distinctive designs, honed since childhood. Cadiz, with a keen eye for creativity, shapes Ceramicah's identity through branding and operations, drawing from her background as a former architect. Together, they approach design holistically, ensuring that every aspect harmonizes seamlessly to create pieces that transcend mere functionality. Their shared commitment to meticulous detail and profound understanding of design principles imbues each Ceramicah creation with a rare and incomparable essence.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
