Description
Blending seamlessly into both dining and meeting spaces, the Sintra table showcases a harmonious blend of materials and shapes. Its smooth, delicately polished marble top showcases the richness of its intricate veins and the mineral beauty of a stone shaped by time. In contrast, its rounded cork base offers a unique lightness and natural durability, infusing the entire piece with a warm, organic presence. The result is a piece of furniture that is both sculptural and functional, where the expressiveness of the materials enhances the purity of the design.
About of Frama
Niels Stroyer Christophersen unveiled his first collection, The Permanent Collection, in October 2011 in Berlin, inaugurating a formal language imbued with timelessness, some of whose iconic pieces endure to this day. His approach, an organic and holistic approach, draws half of the creations from external collaborations, while the other half is crafted in-house, in order to preserve a deeply rooted aesthetic coherence. Through his works, he tirelessly defends essential values: simplicity, the nobility of natural materials, authentic craftsmanship, sustainability, and an aesthetic of enlightened sobriety, conveying meaning and emotion.
Raised in a family where his mother guided him through flea markets, he quickly honed his eye for the timeless beauty of objects that transcend the ages. This is how he found his vocation: to become the artisan of a universe where each piece tells a silent story, at the crossroads of past and present.
Niels Strøyer Christophersen is much more than the founder of FRAMA: he is its soul and inspiration. Through a sensitive and humanist vision, he shapes a world where the organic and the minimal echo each other, a world where we find memory and modernity united in a single impulse.
Since its first collection in 2011, FRAMA has charted a unique creative path, woven through collaborations and an organic quest, in perfect symbiosis. Drawing on the heritage of the past while embracing the impetus of modernity, the brand subtly blends digital technologies and analog expertise, cultivating a unified and timeless aesthetic.
Season after season, FRAMA enriches its universe with a rare coherence, deploying living objects and pieces for the home, while exploring interior architecture, furniture, lighting, as well as olfactory creations and skincare products imbued with functional poetry.
Located in Copenhagen's Nyboder district, FRAMA's headquarters are housed in the former St. Pauls Apotek, a heritage gem dating back to 1878, now a living, breathing workshop in constant transformation. A true laboratory of ideas, the FRAMA Studio Store orchestrates a rich program of open events, creative collaborations, and art installations each year, tirelessly celebrating the exchange between art, design, and the senses.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
