Handwoven by Ukrainian artisans of willow vine the endless and meditative form of STRIKHA, lamps embody unity and close-knit family circles.

Protective, like a strikha straw roof, traditional to a Ukrainian dwelling, the STRIKHA brings warmth and protection from harm.

This light suspension is available in 3 different formats to better fit the choice of your space. 

Victoria Yakusha, Ukrainian-born architect and designer, has founded Yakusha Studio in 2006 : an award-winning multidisciplinary studio working within the fields of architecture, interiors, creative direction, and product design for FAINA.

FAINA is an ancestral, living, spirited brand of furniture, lighting, and decor rooted in connection with earth and Ukrainian cultural heritage.

This lamp is available in three size modifications :
Big 1500 x 525 mm — 11kg.
Medium - 1200 x 420 mm — 8kg.
Small - 900 x 280 mm — 4kg.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
