Description
Temis captures the solemn beauty of an ancient gesture: the lighting of a flame. Cast in solid bronze, this candle holder carries the weight and presence of a sacred artifact, as if unearthed from a forgotten ritual or timeless sanctuary. Its form is both minimal and evocative—an interplay of precise geometry and gentle curves, balanced between strength and delicacy.
The bronze surface catches the light with quiet elegance, revealing the material’s depth and the subtle traces of artisanal handwork. Temis becomes a silent anchor in any space—a witness to stillness, contemplation, and everyday rituals.
With Temis, Federico Stefanovich continues his exploration of soulful design, creating objects that connect the spirit of craftsmanship with the poetry of daily life.
About Federico Stefanovich :
Federico Stefanovich is a Mexican designer based in Mexico City, known for his poetic and emotional approach to lighting and furniture. Trained in industrial design at Universidad Iberoamericana, he began his career at the renowned Esrawe Studio before founding his own practice.
His work explores the balance between form, function, and feeling—often drawing inspiration from organic forms found in nature: leaves, seeds, fungi, and subtle landscapes. Using traditional materials like solid wood, brass, and bronze, Stefanovich crafts sculptural pieces that are both tactile and timeless.
One of his most celebrated collections, Folia, created for AGO Projects, demonstrates his deep sensitivity to materiality and light. These fixtures combine hand-forged metals and carved wood to cast a soft, evocative glow—turning practical objects into emotional experiences.
Stefanovich’s philosophy emphasizes the connection between objects and people. Through a thoughtful synthesis of contemporary design techniques and ancestral craftsmanship, his work invites users to form lasting, intimate relationships with the pieces—each one a quiet dialogue between utility and beauty.
His creations have been exhibited internationally and are praised for their elegant precision, gentle presence, and refined sensibility.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.

The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
