Defiant yet discreet, this artwork with its subtle idiosyncrasies alludes to the sensuous shapes of nature yet embraces the sharp opulence of jewellery.
Part of a limited-edition collection of 16 unique pieces, each striking installation boasts hundreds of brass fibre leaves hanging from a handwoven net of golden chains, warmly lit by translucent hand-blown glass fruitage and 24K goldplated adornments.
Expert artisans work meticulously and minutely for more than 120 hours on each piece. Handcrafted from precious materials and hand-assembled with great care and precision, each sculptural work is fitted with a light featuring a warm candle-like kelvin degree.

Audrée L. Larose and Félix Guyon founded the design studio Larose Guyon in 2015 in Verchères, Quebec. Their arts breathe new life into design. All their creations are bathed in sobriety and finesse. Fleeing the city, they settled in Verchères, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, northeast of Montreal in a haven of peace surrounded by nature, expressing their creativity in complete freedom. This lush nature echoes their imagination. By adopting noble and voluptuous materials, shapes will be born through an intrepid, delicate design sprinkled with myth and heritage. Shaped by master craftsmen from the region using remarkable skill imbued with charm and ease day after day.

The new series of light sculptures named Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminium. Centerpiece is the Mexican “Toba volcánica” stone that consists of minerals, glass and volcanic debris ejected one million years ago during severe eruptions. Fragments in the geometrical surfaces are testament to these explosions and movement.
The contrast between porous textures and smooth dark red underlines the studios contemporary approach on traditional materials and craft. The connecting components between the sculptural stone elements and the aluminium parts originate from an intensive research of linking unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
